This is the Charles B. Fisk pipe organ installed
in the Performing Arts Center
on the Cal Poly campus. With 2,767 pipes, it is a breathtaking
instrument
and a true work of art. To provide a sense of scale, I am standing
next to the console of the organ.

Over 30 feet tall, the organ is now
complete. It is being used
for performances by the San Luis Obispo Symphony,
Festival Mozaic, and the San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts Ensemble.
Cal Poly’s Music program also hosts concerts performed by various artists on the beautiful organ.
My time-lapse camera was standing in Row C, Seat
17 in the orchestra section.
It took one frame every 2 minutes and 18 seconds for the 45 days
of assembly of the instrument.
The result is that one minute in the video represents about five
days of work on the organ.

My book, The Official Adobe Print Publishing
Guide is still available.
